Terms of Service

Plain English summary: Family Vault is a tool to document and map your assets for your family. It is not a wallet, not a password manager, and not a legal document. Never enter private keys, seed phrases, or account passwords.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Perpetual21's Family Vault service ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.


1. What the Service is

Family Vault is a secure, private asset mapping tool. It helps you document the existence and location of your assets, and write instructions for your family in case of your death or incapacitation.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. Each subscription covers one family unit with up to two authorized users. Accounts are non-transferable.

4. Subscription and billing

Family Vault is offered as a paid subscription after a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required during the trial. Subscriptions are billed monthly ($9/month) or annually ($79/year).

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. You will retain access until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial periods, except where required by law.

6. Data and privacy

Your vault data is encrypted with AES-256 before storage. We cannot read your vault contents. You own your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your information.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to perform maintenance, updates, or modifications to the Service at any time. We will communicate planned downtime in advance where possible.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time, which will permanently remove all your vault data.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Spain, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under applicable EU law.
